Pupil Collection Policy – Overview
Our school is committed to ensuring that all pupils are dismissed safely at the end of the school day. Parents and carers are expected to collect their children promptly at 3:20pm from the designated collection points. Pupils will only be released to adults who have been authorised by parents and are known to the school; if another adult is collecting a child, parents must inform the school office in advance and provide an agreed password when required. Older pupils in Years 5 and 6 may walk home independently, provided the school has received written permission.
If a parent or carer is delayed, they should contact the school as soon as possible. Children who are not collected on time may be taken to after-school club and charged accordingly. Staff will follow clear safeguarding procedures if a child is not collected and parents or emergency contacts cannot be reached, including contacting Children’s Services when necessary. These measures ensure that every child remains safe and well cared for until they are collected.
